Tips for Discus Throwers
Know your rim weight distance potential.
If you are throwing a higher rim weight than the chart says to use you could select a lower rim weight discus and throw the discus farther!
Keep in mind if you are using a discus now and your are throwing farther than the rim weight potential, moving up in rim weight will insure farther throws.
Lower rim weight discus will be a high retention discus for more power as they stay in the hand longer. While a high spin discus will react like a gyro and maintain a flat flight posture to act like an airplane wing for longer throws.
Select the best of both to insure you get the best performance from your efforts in the ring.
NELCO has a hologram seal on each discus to insure and guarantee that the rim weight is a true rim weight. Many companies fail to be this accurate and average the rim weights. Use only original Nelco products with the Hologram sticker. all others are fakes.
